Arturo Coello Opens Up About His Biggest Dream in Padel
In the official Bandeja podcast produced by Premier Padel, Arturo Coello opened up about one of the most personal aspects of his relationship with Agustín Tapia.
And his answer was surprisingly simple.
He would like to retire alongside him.
“One of my dreams, which I know is very difficult and very ambitious, would be to retire with Agustín.”
That says a lot about what this partnership means to Coello.
This is not just about winning tournaments. Since they formed their partnership, Coello and Tapia have built one of the most dominant teams in modern Padel. But behind the results, there is also a genuine desire to keep building together for as long as possible.
Coello knows how difficult that is. Professional sport is unpredictable. Form changes, injuries happen, priorities evolve, and even the most successful partnerships eventually face difficult decisions.
But that does not stop him from having the dream.
More Than Just a Partnership
And perhaps that is what makes their partnership so interesting.
They are not simply trying to become the best pair in the world.
They are building a legacy together.
Coello also spoke about his personal ambitions, including becoming the Spanish player with the most world number-one seasons and collecting more titles. But when he talks about his future, Tapia is still part of the picture.
That is a remarkable mindset for two players who are still so young.
How Long Can the Golden Boys Stay Together?
The question is no longer just how many titles Tapia and Coello can win.
It is how long they can stay together at the top.
Because if Coello gets his wish, the story of the Golden Boys will not end with their next title.
It will end on the same court, together.
