Who it is for
- You are an advanced player who builds points with placement and consistency.
- You value stability on defensive shots and in the transition zones.
- You want to customise the feel of the racket.
What stands out
- Round shape and low balance: stable, with a predictable ball response.
- Carbon face with soft EVA core: control and comfort at a high level.
- Weight & Balance system, adjustable up to 11,2 g.
- Extended Power Extra Grip, which adds swing inertia and power.
Keep in mind
- Price is high at 239,95 €, even with the discount from 389,95 €.
- It rewards good technique and gives little free power, so it is not a good choice for a beginner.
Our take
If you are advanced and your game is based on control, this is a top-end option to consider. Compare it with the Metalbone HRD+ if you prefer attacking.
More detail on this racket
Padel Star's spec sheet adds a few numbers that are easy to miss: a 485 cm² hitting surface, a 38 mm thickness and a centred sweet spot. All of that fits the control profile of a round racket with low balance.
Adidas says the Power Groove and the Extra Power Grip add inertia and stiffness for attacking shots without leaving the control profile. That is the manufacturer's claim, not a measurement, so treat it as the intention behind the design.
The Weight & Balance system is the most unusual part. It uses removable pieces to change the total weight (up to 11,2 g) and where that weight sits. It is useful if you already know how mass affects your swing, and it lets you try different set-ups without buying another racket.
Padel Star also points to a cheaper variant, the Metalbone Carbon CTRL, which it lists with 6K carbon. If you do not need the weight adjustment and the budget matters, that is the comparison to make before you buy. We have not checked whether PadelNuestro stocks it.
On price, PadelNuestro showed 239,95 € when we checked. Padel Star's comparison on 21 October showed other shops between about 236 € and 295 €, so it can be worth comparing before you decide.
